As of now, Jet2 is the only airline confirmed to be switching flights from San Javier to Corvera after 15th January 2019. Therefore, if you want to travel from the UK to Spain, you might want to consider the train. There are two train stations close to the “Polaris Resorts” – one in Torre Pacheco, the other in Balsicas – for your convenience.
It’s easy to travel from the UK to Spain by train. You can breakfast in London, lunch in Paris and have dinner in Barcelona. After an overnight stay, you have the choice of a number of trains to both of the local stations starting from midday. If this is too ambitious, why not use the train to visit Cartagena or Murcia City, or go further afield and visit Madrid, Valencia or Barcelona. Travelling within Spain, you can either buy tickets at the station or use the official online site.
What is Imserso? Well if you are in receipt of a state pension and living in Spain, then you are entitled to take part in the Imserso subsidised holiday programme. If you are eligible, it’s an opportunity that’s just too good to miss, and it gives you plenty of opportunity to learn about what’s happening in Costa Calida during the holidays.
If you are here in November, then why not visit the 38th Cartagena Jazz Festival, which takes place from the 2nd November to 24th November.
